Koomal Dreaming

Koomal Dreaming Aboriginal Cultural Tours, Native Food, Didgeridoo Music, Art & Cultural Awareness in South West WA

The Wadandi and Bibbulman people of the Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River areas of Australia’s south-west have walked this ancient land for over 50,000 years. Together with other Aboriginal groups from an area that stretches from Kalbarri to Esperance, they are also known as Noongar. The Noongar culture is as rich and varied as the countryside itself, and their knowledge of their environme

nt is incredible and fascinating. Based in Dunsborough, Koomal Dreaming is your opportunity to step inside their shoes and experience Wadandi country through their eyes. You’ll taste bush foods, hear the sounds of the didgeridoo and meet the animals, plants and Dreaming spirits that have enriched the lives of Wadandi people since time began. Come on a tour with Koomal Dreaming and see life as it has always been.

✨ Colours of Country Exhibtion: Celebrating Our Stories ✨

Yallingup Aboriginal Art is proud to present Colours of Country, a special exhibition bringing together the works of three Noongar artists: Josh Whiteland, Kim Kiosses and John Sara.

This exhibition celebrates the colours, stories and living knowledge of Country, from land, waterways and oceans to the sky, changing seasons and native foods. Each artist shares a personal perspective shaped by culture, memory and deep connections to place and family.

Wadandi Custodian Josh Whiteland shares stories of harmonious living on Wadandi Boodja, reflecting relationships between people, animals and plants and the rhythms of the Noongar Six Seasons. Father-daughter artists John Sara and Kim Kiosses present works inspired by family history, heritage and connection to Country across Ballardong, Whadjuk and Banjima lands.
