Pompeii is the last of my Italian experiences. It is a place I have wanted to see since I was a kid and watched a National Geographic about it.

Pompeii did not disappoint. It was much larger than I thought it would be and there was so much to see. We only saw a little of it.

While exploring the Amalfi Coast we got to stay at this really cool hotel for 2 nights

What really makes this place special is not the amazing views, the incredible staff, or the fabulous food. It’s the owner. He greeted us on arrival giving us a warm welcome and telling a little bit of his story. Then on our last night at dinner at the hotel he came and explained the dishes what wines would pair best and again made us feel welcome relaxed and happy. It was a great experience.

By the way the food really was fabulous. The owners dad is the chef his mom is the pastry chef. My lemon dessert looks like an ice cream but it was actually a delicious cake.
