• Late-night departure from Dhaka towards Sreemangal by comfortable AC transport.
• Overnight journey to reach Sreemangal by early morning.

DAY 2 (SEPT 4): TEA GARDENS, MANIPURI CULTURE & BBQ NIGHT
• Early morning arrival, freshen up, breakfast, and resort check-in (11:00 AM).
• Lunch featuring authentic local flavors.
• Afternoon visit to lush tea gardens, traditional Manipuri villages, and the world-famous 7-Layer Tea at Nilkantha Tea Cabin.

I had the opportunity to attend the pre-election interactive meeting organized by the ATAB Ganotantrik Oikkojot.

It was encouraging to hear the candidates share their vision and plans for the future of Bangladesh's tourism industry.

At present, our tourism sector is facing numerous challenges and disorder. To overcome this situation, we need strong, courageous, honest, outspoken, and selfless leadership with a clear vision.

Having served successfully as ATAB President for four consecutive terms, Mr. Manjur Morshed has already demonstrated his leadership, commitment, and ability to guide the industry. I have also known many of the other panel candidates, including Mohammad Jalal Uddin Tipu, Jumman Chowdhury, Nuruzzaman Sumon, and others, for many years. I have had the opportunity to observe their integrity, dedication, and commitment to the development of tourism.

I firmly believe that if the full panel of the ATAB Democratic Unity Alliance is elected on July 25, they will play a leading role in revitalizing Bangladesh's tourism industry and steering it toward a brighter future.

Let us unite behind a capable and visionary leadership for a stronger tourism sector.

Today, I had the opportunity to visit the Bangladesh Houseboat Fair held on the second floor of the Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) Building.

I was truly impressed to see the remarkable growth in domestic tourism. The enthusiasm and large turnout of visitors at the fair clearly reflected the increasing interest of local tourists. Equally impressive was the logistics and level of preparedness of the entrepreneurs in meeting this growing demand.

It is hard to believe the number and variety of houseboats available in Bangladesh unless you see them yourself. Almost every operator I spoke with owns five or six well-equipped houseboats, offering a range of facilities and experiences. This is a very encouraging sign for the country's tourism industry.

The overwhelming response from visitors demonstrates the growing popularity of haor and river tourism. More and more people are seeking the unique experience of exploring Bangladesh's rivers and wetlands while enjoying the beauty of nature from the comfort of a houseboat.

May haor tourism continue to flourish. May river cruising become even more popular. And may Bangladesh's tourism industry reach new heights.
