Budapest + the Hungarian Grand Prix: a family city break that delivered far more than Formula 1. 🇭🇺🏁

Five days, three travelers, roughly 20,000 steps per day, two full days at the Hungaroring, and nearly every form of Budapest transportation available.

We explored Buda Castle, Fisherman’s Bastion, Parliament, the Shoes on the Danube, the Jewish Quarter, Chain Bridge, Great Market Hall, City Park, and Eliot’s favorite discovery—the enormous “Super Park” playground.

The food trail was equally strong: goulash at Kőleves, Retro Lángos, chimney cake from Gelateria Pichler Fagyizó, Japanese food at HACHI, Thai at QUÍ, and breakfast from Artizán Bakery.

For race weekend, Saturday was our track-reconnaissance day and Sunday was full ex*****on. Eliot rode bumper cars and the Ferris wheel, completed an accessibility obstacle course, collected his Pirelli Champions cap, and stayed engaged throughout the weekend. Cooling towels, hats, sunscreen, water, hearing protection, and a compact blanket were the essential family-race gear.

BudapestGO made the trip exceptionally easy. Our Pest County Passes, discounted 100E airport add-ons, H8 HÉV connection, race shuttles, and KISS train from Gödöllő gave us an economical, largely car-free weekend. Children five and under traveled free.

We were disappointed that Lewis Hamilton’s recovery drive unraveled after another penalty, but seeing Lando Norris and McLaren win before the summer break gave the weekend a memorable finish.

Budapest was the surprise winner of the trip. We would return for deeper neighborhood exploration, fine dining, nightlife, Hungarian wine and local food, and the natural areas beyond the city center.

Wander more. Connect deeper. Make memories.

Budapest in five days: historic, walkable, family-friendly, and consistently excellent.

We crossed the Chain Bridge, explored Buda Castle, walked the Danube, visited the Great Market Hall, ate our way through Hungarian and Asian restaurants, and gave Eliot several hours at the City Park “Super Park.”

The city felt monumental without becoming difficult. The public

The planning is over. The adventure starts now. 🚄🇧🇪

Months of playlists.
Weeks of outfit planning.
One backpack.
One train.

Everything I need for four days at Tomorrowland fits into a single bag.

The best part isn’t the stages or the fireworks (oops!) it’s the people I’ll meet along the way. Friends from around the world, old traditions, new memories, and another chapter in Boom.

Next stop: Tomorrowland Belgium 2026.

See you in DreamVille. ✨

People of tomorrow… our journey begins in 3 days. ✨🇧🇪

Every Tomorrowland starts long before the first set.

For me, it’s the little rituals:
📦 Treasure case arrives.
➕ Add on sale complete.
🎶 The playlists get louder.
👕 The outfits come together.
🎒 The gear gets packed.

This year marks my 5th Tomorrowland, and somehow opening this box still feels like opening a ticket to another world.

Now… only a few days until Boom.

Swipe left to see what is inside! 👈👀

Live Today. Love Tomorrow. Unite Forever. 🇧🇪✨

4 days. 1 40L backpack. Fresh everyday. 🎒🇧🇪

Tomorrowland is one of those festivals where packing is almost as strategic as planning your schedule.

This year the challenge was simple:
• Everything in a single Pelican 40L
• Four unique outfits
• No rolling luggage
• Comfort from DreamVille setup until the final fireworks

Final kit includes:
• 4 main tops and bottoms
• 2 alternating pairs of shoes
• Hoodie + night layer
• 2 backup T shirts + 1 backup shorts
• Rain protection
• Loop Earplugs
• Oakley sunglasses
• Chargers, toiletries, and festival essentials

Five Tomorrowlands have taught me that packing lighter usually means enjoying the weekend more.

What would you add, or leave behind?

See you in Boom. ✨

4 days. 1 backpack. Unlimited fun 🎒🇧🇪

Every year I try to pack a little smarter for Tomorrowland.

This year the goal was simple:
• Everything in one Pelican 40L backpack
• Four unique festival outfits
• Comfortable shoes for 80,000+ steps
• No unnecessary gear

The gear essentials that made the cut:
🎧 Loop Earplugs
🔋 Battery packs
💊 Festival first aid
🕶 Oakleys
🧊 Cooling towel
☀️ SPF 50+
💧 Electrolytes
🪑 Lightweight sitting blanket
🔒 F***y pack & Lock

After five Tomorrowlands, I’ve learned that packing lighter usually means enjoying the weekend more.

What is the one item you refuse to attend a festival without?

See you in Boom. 🇧🇪✨

One less thing to think about. 👟

Tomorrowland is four days of walking, dancing, rain, dust, and 12+ hour days. Comfort matters just as much as style.

Not necessarily an endorsement, but Riekers earned a spot in my 40L pack for Tomorrowland 2026! I will let you know how they fare after 80-100K steps!

Comfort required.
Kilometers expected.
