Honestly, just plan to have some meltdowns - it’s all part of the glorious family travel life! Tough moments don’t have to ruin everything though, have awesome power-through tips for when your little travelers are losing their grip. It’s all worth it!

Of all the “real travel” pictures I post, crying babies in beautiful places are my favorites 😂👶🏻 Kids will be kids, even in gorgeous Vienna! That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take your kids with you, it just means that you can’t forget to pack your flexibility and a sense of humor 😉

“Probably our favorite when we decided to do a hike in Norway. It was a remote hike that you could only get to by boat. Basically about an hour after the boat left, the temp dropped by about 10 degrees Celsius and [started] raining. Our baby’s diaper leaked and we were changing him behind a rock while it rained. We were covering ourselves with the plastic cover used for the stroller. Needless to say, we spent the next 4 hours waiting in the public bathroom for the boat to come back. Not our greatest day, but one of the memories we talk about the most!”

If we had Traveling Merit Badges, the Fomo Family would for sure get the Rain Badge 🌧 😂 Now we know why Norway is so beautiful and green though, right? ALL THE RAIN.

As would say, “Sometimes traveling with young kids is tiring and challenging!” Just remember that no matter how crazy your kids are, no matter what phase of life you’re in, you can travel! Just put away your expectations and get out there ✈️ 🇸🇬

“‘There’s somebody putting a rabbit in a trunk.’ We’d fallen asleep in a parking lot behind a church and had woken up in the literal middle of a bustling livestock market. I thought Henry was joking but then I heard the chickens...the sight of those rabbits and chickens and geese set up around the van when I peeked out of the curtains - all before my first cup of coffee - still makes me laugh. 🐔 🐥 🐰 💰 🇫🇷”
