Ci sono tanti modi di viaggiare in modo sostenibile, anzi rigenerativo! Uno di questi é comprare dei souvenir e dei prodotti eno-gastronomici realizzati dalle cooperative sociali o dalle organizzazioni locali che formano e assumano persone con disabilità 🫶

A noi piacciono molto i souvenir soildali suggeriti da Friuli Venezia Giulia Turismo 😍.

Abbiamo conosciuto personalmente alcuni di loro, e non solo hanno una missione sociale spettacolare, ma i loro prodotti sono di ottima qualità, creativi, e buoni!

Dai biscotti Bistorti di Hattiva Lab Onlus, agli zaini in tessuti riciclati, colorati e raffinatissimi, di Lister Sartoria Sociale, fino agli oggetti coloratissimi (portachiavi, orecchini e portafogli) di Arte e Libro Cooperativa sociale, non c'é che l'imbarazzo della scelta.
Ah, e potete anche fermarvi per un pranzo o una pausa veloce nei ristoranti sociali Diversamente Bistrot a Udine, o alla Volpe sotto i Gelsi della Cooperativa di Casarsa Il Piccolo Principe Casarsa, fino ad un pranzo (menu a sorpresa!) da AuStanding a Prosecco.

✨ One Kitchen a Day – The Inclusive Kitchen

Today we visit Bel’O Sandwich bar, in Molenbeek, Brussels.

A lively sandwich bar, Bel'O is part of the wider project Groot Eiland, where people facing barriers to employment are trained in HoReCa roles—from kitchen to customer service—gaining real experience in real settings.

✨ One Kitchen a Day – The Inclusive Kitchen

Today we head to La Ferme Nos Pilifs, in Brussels.

More than a single place, this is a whole ecosystem: farm, bakery, restaurant, shop. You can do your grocery shopping in their bio supermarket, or buy some plants in the pepiniere, taste their delicious bread and cakes, buy their famous biscuits (so many varieties!), have lunch at the Estaminet, and take a walk to look at the many farm animals with your whole family.

They also have an event space you can rent for your business meetings and you can buy their biscuits as company gifts - they really have something for everybody ❤️.

All the activities of the Ferme are run with and for people with disabilities, offering meaningful work across multiple activities.

Today’s kitchen: Artos, in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, Brussels.

Artos is a bakery workshop, part of a day centre that welcomes 25 adults with mild to moderate intellectual or motor disabilities in a renovated chapel - of all places! The bakery workshop is the heart of their pedagogical project, where participants learn professional baking skills and take pride in their work. A rich choice of breads, patisseries and gaufres is waiting for you!

A small sandwicherie, part of Centre de jour et d'hébergement la Maison Bleue, where food becomes a daily tool for learning.
Here, adults with intellectual disabilities develop autonomy, confidence, and work skills through real-life kitchen and service activities.

Once in Brussels

Over the past months, we’ve been working on The Inclusive Kitchen Belgium—a project mapping food businesses across the country that bring inclusion into their daily work. These beautiful kitchens train and employ persons that would otherwise have difficulties getting a job, or finding and fulfulling their talents - and they produce great food and offer excellent customer service!

Restaurants, cafés, bakeries, caterers, producers… each one with its own story, its own team, its own way of doing things.
We also realised something: these places are often incredible—but not always visible, or very, very local.
So we decided to change that.

❤️ Starting today, we’ll be sharing One Inclusive Kitchen a Day.
One place, one story, one reason to discover a more inclusive way of experiencing food.
Some are in big cities, some a bit more hidden.
Some are perfect for a quick coffee, others for a full experience.

All of them have something in common: they create opportunities, connections, and good food—at the same time.
Follow along, discover them, visit them, work with them.
Because inclusion is not an idea.
It’s something you can experience—sometimes, just by sitting at a table.

Thank you - merci - dank je wel to pour nous avoir accueilli mercredi - super ambiance, super café et super espace événement que nous recommendons 💯%.

Présenter et promouvoir les organisations du secteur HoReCa qui font de l’inclusion laborale est un vrai plaisir, et nous sommes prêtes avec à continuer ce projet incroyable, soutenu par le projet TASTE de la Commission Européenne.

Hier, nous étions réunis chez Café Joyeux Belgium pour un petit-déjeuner de présentation du projet The Inclusive Kitchen – Belgium ❤️.
Un moment simple et concret pour découvrir un lieu qui allie qualité, accueil et engagement — avec un excellent café, une cuisine soignée et une équipe remarquable (et un espace idéal pour vos événements).

Au programme :
- Cap Event et ses équipes événementielles inclusives
- Farilu et ses produits de boulangerie artisanaux
- Frédéric Suche du cluster Hospitality.brussels présentant le TASTE Project et les opportunités pour les entreprises alimentaires sur la durabilité
- Mélanie Saussez de Once in Brussels et Eleonora Censorii de Destination Everywhere nous avons presenté les resultats du project Inclusive Kitchen et le site web avec les bons addresses des "cuisines inclusives" de Belgique et les formidables tours de Mélanie.

Et pour prolonger l’expérience, quelques douceurs à emporter dans notre Goodie Bag:
- Le chocolat de TWERK vzw, à Herentals, qui emploie 35 personnes autistes
- Les Spéculoos de La Ferme Nos Pilifs, à Bruxelles, un écosystème unique comprenant une ferme, une épicerie, une boulangerie, un restaurant, un espace événementiel et une serre, et employant 135 personnes porteuses de handicap
- Les Specullos de Café Joyeux Belgium
- des goodies de CAP Event
