Can one bike ride show you all of Plovdiv? 🚴‍♂️

I challenged myself to visit three of Plovdiv's iconic hills in a single ride—Youth Hill, Bunardzhik (Alyosha), and Sahat Tepe—to see if it's possible to experience the city's best panoramic views in one cycling adventure.

The route includes scenic climbs, fast descents, beautiful viewpoints, and a ride through the heart of one of Europe's oldest cities.

Riding into another country just to face a 12% gravel wall? Absolutely worth it! 🚴‍♂️💨

In my latest video on Bike Explorer BG, I took on an epic 80 km route starting from Bulgaria, near to Avren village, crossing the remote border into Greece, and pushing through 1,000m of elevation gain to reach the massive wind turbines at the summit.

What began as smooth tarmac turned into a quiet 6 km gravel section across the border, culminating in a brutal 2 km climb with hairpins and 10–12% gradients. Standing right under those giant turbines with the wind howling was surreal—and the descent back down was pure adrenaline! 🔥
