Part 3 and final - The highest in La Paz and the second highest in Bolivia.

The illimani, well known for being the guardian of the city of La Paz let us reach its birthday with almost perfect weather, it was more days this time but really amazing, not much to say really except for a small crack that made us work but that's what makes it fun..... 😌 all summits successfully reached, again congrats and for trusting us and to and for being part of the team that made this possible....

Part 2. Summit at Huayna Potosi 6,088m. The best decision.

Immediately after we went to Huayna Potosi, and perhaps it was the best decision of our expedition since this operation to acclimatize in an incredible way and I train a lot for what awaits us in , it was such a good summit that we enjoyed it.

Part 1 - Nuevo gran viaje que comenzaba en Tuni-Condoriri con and y su guia , un viaje clásico que inicio con una aclimatacion en Pico Austria y seguidamente atacar el Pico Tarija y Pequeño , estos 3 primeros picos todos de forma exitosa sin ningun tipo de inconvenientes donde nos divertimos mucho, ted y Christy tenían bastante experiencia y contaban con una muy buena aclimatacion, esto solo fue el inicio de lo que seria el Huayna Potosi y finalmente te cerrar con el Illimani, la 2da mas alta de Bolivia.

Can children make mountains of 6,000?
The short answer is yes, but this involves a long process, which must be carried very carefully, the Bolivia Discovery team has who started from an early age to walk among mountains and his son who also achieved important peaks at a young age, as small alpamayo at 10 years old and huayna potosi at 13 ...
This time we had with us a family that had 2 girls, very young but very strong and most importantly very well acclimatized, their parents had already taken care of this in a very good way, really congratulations.
The weather and climate played against us this time, the little one did manage to reach the 6000 but without reaching the summit and the older one was very close, however it is already an achievement and surely in different conditions they would achieve a 6000 without problems and even much more!

Part 3 - Sajama Volcano
The last stop inside the Sajama National Park, after resting we had to camp very close to the base camp, where the next day we decided to climb to high camp at 5700m. where we should spend another night before attacking the summit, but this time we decided not to attack the summit, since the objective of enjoying the mountain and enjoy its landscapes had already been achieved.
Finally as a team we understand that many times the summit is not the highest point of the mountain but the highest point where you arrive and enjoy the whole process and get home.

Part 2. Acotango Volcano - Sajama National Park.

It was time to attack one of the most accessible 6 miles of , the Acotango Volcano (6,052m.) is undoubtedly the best viewpoint in this area, you can see the Payachatas, Chilean and Bolivian side, the huge Sajama which is the roof of Bolivia and the entire horizon of the beauty of the Cordillera Occidental.
Only 2 of the team made it to the summit, the wind was too strong, the cold too, but they made it, everyone was satisfied with their performance and how far they got.
But the trip was not over...

Part 1 - Sajama National Park with Italians.

These were incredible days in Sajama National Park, this time we had visitors from , incredible, very good hikers and climbers, the objectives were:
- Acclimatize
- Nearby peaks in Sajama
- Acotango Volcano
- Sajama Volcano
It was a long trip from La Paz to the town of Sajama, the logistics of a trip of so many days is very important, we had 3 cars ready for this and the details and inclement weather are crucial for making decisions and possible modification of plans, but our team is always prepared for everything and thus provide the best response.

Starting in August, after trips in the Sajama National Park, it was up to us to return to the well-known Huayna Potosí. On this occasion, with a couple, it was an incredible journey, full of laughter, sharing experiences, practicing a lot and ending the incredible journey on the summit of Huayna Potosí.

It took a short time for us to return to Sajama, after our last successful ascension we went again and on this occasion everything was totally different it is incredible how in a few days everything can change.
There were many more groups, some acquaintances and friends, the weather better and all with the attitude, unfortunately on this occasion you could not reach the summit but certainly a great trip.

Part 2. The highest in - Sajama volcano.

Just after we had acclimatized on Pico Austria and achieved the 6 thousand summit of Huayna Potosi, we took a couple of days break to then attack the highest summit in Bolivia, the Sajama volcano which has an altitude of 6,542 m.

It was very relaxed, we had an excellent plan, only that we had to fight with a small window of good weather or at least we thought so because above 6,200 m, with a thermal sensation of -35 °C and winds of 70-80 km/h were the obstacle that did not want us to give up, but Tamás was strong and had the summit before his eyes, a few seconds were enough to decide to reach the summit and so it was, an incredible trip, our 3 planned peaks were successful.

Again we had an acclimatization plan enjoying all the views of the Real where we were to finish in Huayna Potosi and reach its summit.

The trekking was led by Rudy, our trekking guide who really never disappoints, ending the 5 days trek it was time to enter the terrain to where with him we had to continue the way to the high camp and finally the , making an excellent time, very fast and strong, without a doubt a correct acclimatization is adequate before attempting a 6 thousand mountain.

Again we have to talk about how did an excellent job with George, after an acclimatization in - Pico Austria, where everything was excellent and ready for Huayna Potosi where the objective was clear to reach the summit.

After a 1st day of practice on the glacier of Huayna Potosi where the basics are taught to face the mountain and of course after climbing also continue on the 2nd day to high camp where you spend the night before attacking the summit, George and David without hesitation were a great team, again demonstrating his leadership.

After a year, we had the return of some very dear clients, Ilyia and Yulia, a couple with whom we did several treks in the Real last year. Our goals back then were Pico Tarija and Huayna Potosí, both of which we successfully achieved.

This year, they came back with new objectives. First, we headed to Sajama Park to acclimatize for the final challenge, which was Chachacomani. We spent 7 days in Sajama, doing various hikes, including Pico Wisalla and a full day at the high-altitude lagoons (Condoriri de Sajama), very close to Chile. Finally, they conquered Acotango (6,052m). With 2 days left, the wind was strong, so we adapted our plan with the flexibility we always aim for. We decided to go to Huayna Potosí again, but this time to summit a nearby peak called Pico , continuing the process.After a couple of days resting in the city, we set off for Chachacomani, where we spent 4 more wonderful days. Unfortunately, we didn't reach the summit due to time constraints and the safety of our beloved clients, as well as the mountain conditions this year, which were not ideal. Nevertheless, the entire journey was excellent, and we enjoyed it to the fullest.

A special thanks to our friend , who is not only an excellent guide but also the manager of the travel agency in Mexico. He accompanied us in Chachacomani and provided exceptional assistance. His charisma and customer service were truly exceptional.

The acclimatization continued after a couple of days in El Dragon Dormido we continued with a multi-day trek starting in Khotia to Huayna Potosi where besides the trekking we had to conquer the Pequeño Alpamayo and Huayna Potosi as the final objective.
In the Little Alpamayo only 2 of the group reached the summit but for the Huayna Potosi the whole team reached the summit which showed that a well done acclimatization plan and taking the right decisions everyone can do it.

We know that acclimatization plans are very important to achieve the objectives and although we love the we are aware that they are not the only place to do it, on this occasion this group wanted something different, unique and quiet and the option of the Sleeping Dragon on the shores of Lake was excellent before starting the multi-day trek with objectives of Pequeño Alpamayo and Huayna Potosi.

Well let's recap a little of how this incredible season of Mountain #2024 went.

Pedro and his guide in Sajama.
Pedro came with the objective to spend several days in and the plan was to do the Acotango and Sajama volcanoes.
Pedro is a lover of photos and videos, and we made many throughout the trip, it was amazing in fact he just now finished a video blog of how it all went.
The volcano was a success, Pedro was very careful with his acclimatization, food and itinerary which is incredible and with our help everything went as he wanted, the next challenge was the Sajama where unfortunately he only reached the high camp but nothing prevented him to keep smiling and happy with his visit to the Sajama .
