I thought I didn't care about fall and the cold, but as I'm stuck inside here in brazil with some 100 degree days, turns out right now my inner Chicagoan would choose sweater weather > sweating weather. 😅⁠

The more brazil turns into summer, the more I see everyone else in the northern hemisphere sipping their pumpkin spiced everything eating chunky chili in their cozy sweaters & boots. UGH.⁠

Basically, a basic bitch doesn't know what she has until it's gone! 🎃⁠

The beauty of these massive cobblestoned streets is that they physically force you to slow down. The city compels its visitors to take the time it deems necessary to appreciate its beauty & history.

It also allows you enough time to notice the hidden gelato shops along the way 😋

Arrived in Paraty and in 24 hours we’ve already seen so much! Including walking along colorful streets that have all the Portuguese influence from when they first settled here near Rio.

It’s been a little taste of Europe tucked away in the jungle 🌴🐒 and of course so nice to get out the big city of São Paulo for a little!

If you saw the reel in my last post, you saw the veryyy winding roads that led to this dreamy jungle oasis. Our massive Airbnb was tucked in between hills of nature and sounds of wild.

Aside from beautiful hidden beaches, this tiny island also has a great nightlight full of bars and restaurants. We definitely didn’t get enough time here so we’ll be back!

It’s FINALLY warming up here in São Paulo (since 60F is my new freezing), and I cannot wait to spend more time outside in the sun.☀️

Things are slowly opening up here, so maybe a coffee at an actual cafe is in order?! It’s the little things these days.

If you've been to my beloved Cique Terre, then you know how crazy crowded it can get! Lucca and I headed here on a road trip from Florence, squished together in a red convertible fiat cinquecento of course (we felt SO Italian).⁠

We were so happy to be away from the crowds and to have our own little second slice of Italian coastal heaven.⁠
