Espetacular esse vídeo da Route 66 em 6.6 minutos.

Para quem já esteve na 66 só vai dar mais saudades ainda. Para quem ainda não foi, só vai aumentar a vontade...

Recomendo.

A month of driving from Chicago to Los Angeles in 6.6 minutes, all shot from my 1955 Chevy Bel Air (and another temporary car) on GoPro Hero4 Black.

Departing from Missouri, passing through Kansas and arriving in Oklahoma, day #8

We were in Joplin-MO. I forgot to comment yesterday, but in Joplin was the hardest city to find motel. All the cheapest rooms were occupied, become available only the rooms of higher values.

So, We woke up early and went behind a spot for a breakfast and we found a mall, and in the morning we went shopping.

By the time we'd leave Joplin and move to Kansas, begins to fall a deluge, we decided to in a restaurant and have lunch as the rain did not end.

Well fed, with again open time cloudless, we traveled and arrived at Kansas. Route 66 in Kansas State is a little, pass for three small cities (Galena, Riverton and Baxter Springs), and Galena, and kept a super surprise for us: Yes, the character Mate of movie Cars exists!

When leaving the Kansas and go into Oklahoma, we decided to leave the Route 66 per a few miles and meet a ghost town. Picher that is not on Route 66 was decommissioned in 2006 due to high contamination of their lands and waters for lead and coal, they say it is the most toxic city in the US.

One thing has changed from Illinois and Missouri to Kansas and Oklahoma, the heat! The weather was already very different. Not only the weather, but also, we realized the changes in landscapes during Route 66.

Along Route 66 in Oklahoma, we see many buildings and places abandoned, a these is the Blue Whale of Catoosa. Summer park of the 70s.

Our day ended in Tulsa-OK.

My brother and me, we go out of Cuba-MO, known as Route 66 Mural City, following to the west of Route 66.

In this part of Route 66, we find many wineries, we passed by Fanning (where is located the largest rocking chair in the world), Rosati, St. James, Dillon, Northwye, Rolla, Doolittle, Arlington, Jerome, Powellville.

There is a scenic route and passes through Devils Elbow, where we find the Devils Elbow Bridge, a nice place and of the very green and after, passing by St. Robert, Waynesville, Buckhorn, and Hazelgreen.

In Phillipsburg we found the Redmons Candy Factory, wol... a paradise of the sugar and candies... My brother and me, bought lots of candies...kkkk

We had lunch in Springfield- MO and continuing with our trip, arriving in Spencer, a ghost town.

At the end of day before arriving in Joplin, passing by Carthage, we found a Drive-in Theatre open and then in Carterville, a museum dedicated to Superman.
