BREAKING: Princess Cruises is making some major changes to its Royal Class ships , and not everyone will be happy about them. The Retreat adults only pool and sundeck are being replaced by the private Sanctuary Club, six solo inside cabins are being added, and Good Spirits at Sea is now labeled Piazza Bar on the updated deck plans. BREAKING: Holland America Line is getting a new ship. Carnival Corporation has confirmed that P&O Cruises’ Arcadia will move to Holland America Line in late 2029 or early 2030, bringing the fleet to 12 ships.

Interestingly, Arcadia already has ties to Holland America. The ship was originally designed as part of the Vista Class before ultimately joining P&O Cruises.

Carnival Rewards officially launches today, replacing Carnival’s longtime VIFP loyalty program with a new spend-based system.

Beginning today, Carnival guests will earn Carnival Rewards points and status qualifying stars based on eligible spending rather than simply the number of days spent cruising.

The new program also brings major changes to how guests earn and maintain loyalty status, officially ending the previous lifetime status structure.
