How Panbang Got Its Name?
The story of Panbang is deeply tied to the rivers that shape it. The name comes from two words:
Pan – the handcrafted bamboo boats once used to cross the Drangme River.
Bang – the launching point for these boats.
These boats helped locals transport goods, travel, and connect remote communities.
Today, Panbang has transformed into an ecotourism hub, where continues this river-based legacy through sustainable rafting.
