Different paths, one shared purpose—connecting people with nature while putting safety first.
It was a privilege to meet one of Bhutan’s professional helicopter pilots. Although our workplaces are different—one in the skies and the other on the rivers—we share many of the same values: professionalism, sound judgment, continuous learning, and a deep respect for nature.
A pilot carefully studies weather conditions, terrain, and flight safety before every journey. Likewise, a river guide reads the river’s flow, rapids, and changing conditions to ensure every expedition is safe and enjoyable. In both professions, experience and preparation are what turn an adventure into a memorable and responsible experience.
Bhutan offers extraordinary opportunities to experience its natural beauty from different perspectives. A helicopter flight reveals spectacular mountain landscapes from above, while rafting and river expeditions provide a close connection to our pristine rivers, forests and wildlife. Together, they showcase the remarkable diversity of our country.
At Khenda Adventure, we are also pleased to help organize helicopter sightseeing and charter experiences across Bhutan, alongside our river adventures and outdoor activities. By bringing together air and river experiences, we hope to offer visitors a unique way to discover the beauty, culture, and wilderness of Bhutan.
