Tiger's Nest.
A monastery clinging to a sheer cliff face, 3,120 metres above the Paro valley. Built in 1692. Sacred for over 1,300 years. The moment you turn a corner on the trail, and it appears in front of you, you will understand why no photograph has ever done it justice.

Old Man's Beard.
Look closely at the pine trees on the way up. Those long silver-green strands draped from every branch, that is Usnea, known as Old Man's Beard. A lichen so delicate it cannot survive in polluted air. It only grows where the environment is completely pristine. The fact that it covers this entire trail is not decoration. It is proof.
