Imagine five days immersed in the wild beauty of the Okavango Delta. Time unfolds slowly here, surrounded by vast landscapes, shifting light, and the quiet rhythm of nature. In this setting, art becomes a natural response to everything around you - observing, interpreting, and creating in direct connection with the environment and fellow artists.

Guiding this creative journey is artist , one of the @ Wildlife Artist of the Year 2026 Finalists, whose passion for wildlife and artistic storytelling brings a unique perspective to the experience.

Day 1: Arrival, introductions, game drives, and life drawing sessions.

Day 2: Explore the Delta by mokoro and capture its beauty through watercolor painting.

Day 3: A full day immersed in nature with plein air painting in the field.

Day 4: Guided game walk and nature journaling, observing the finer details of the landscape.

Day 5: Optional sharing of works created during the retreat, followed by departure.

A few months ago Gareth visited the community farm at Tsutsubega, a village on our transit route to talk about ways we could support the farm and one of the communities that border the concession we operate in. The most obvious way was to start purchasing vegetables produced at the farm.

We’re now off and running and have just placed our second order. Going forward we hope to purchase veggies for guests and staff from the farm every time we buy fresh food, which is quite a lot!
