Please accept our sincerest apologies. We deeply regret to announce the postponement of the Botswana Agrotourism Expo 2025.

This difficult decision was made after careful consideration, driven by our unwavering commitment to deliver an exceptional experience for all our valued attendees and stakeholders. Unfortunately, an unforeseen clash with the Southern African Youth Development Council Conference 2025, scheduled for June 27th to 30th, has necessitated the redirection of resources, making it impossible for us to proceed with the Expo as initially planned.

We understand this news will be disappointing to our loyal followers and generous sponsors, and for that, we are truly sorry. Your enthusiasm and support mean the world to us.

However, we want to assure you that this postponement is a temporary setback. The Botswana Agrotourism Organisation, under the auspices of Bontlha Farming Enterprises, is an integral part of the organising committee for the Southern African Youth Development Council Conference 2025. Following the conclusion of this important regional gathering, we will promptly announce the rescheduled dates for the Botswana Agrotourism Expo 2025.

We are more determined than ever to host an even more impactful and rewarding Agrotourism Expo soon. We promise an event that will truly showcase the best of Botswana's agricultural tourism potential.

Botswana Agrotourism Organization Gains Valuable Insights at 7th Africa Tourism and Leadership Forum

Gaborone, Botswana – 3rd - 6th September 2024 – The Botswana Agrotourism Organization (BAO) proudly participated in the 7th Africa Tourism and Leadership Forum (ATLF), held at the Gaborone International Convention Centre. The forum, themed “Charting a new path forward for intra-African travel, Trade, tourism, and investment,” provided a valuable platform for the BAO to connect with key stakeholders and explore opportunities for growth.

Representing the BAO were Executive Director and Founder Koketso Tlhagale and Community Programs and Impact Director Ms. Bonolo Natasha Bosilong. The forum’s panel discussions and deliberations offered invaluable insights into the current state of African tourism and the potential for sustainable development.

As a leading organization dedicated to promoting agrotourism in Botswana, the BAO was particularly interested in exploring ways to diversify the country’s tourism sector and create multi-sectoral linkages. The forum provided an excellent opportunity to network with industry experts and identify potential partnerships that will help the BAO achieve its goals.

The BAO remains committed to its mission of promoting sustainable agriculture, diversifying Botswana’s tourism sector, and creating economic opportunities for local communities. Through its participation in events like the ATLF, the organization is well-positioned to continue its leadership in the field of agrotourism and contribute to the overall development of the African tourism industry.
