Owners Dwaine & Chantal spent this past weekend in Quebec City representing Polair Heating and Air Conditioning at ORAC’s 59th AGM (May 14–17, 2026) at the iconic Château Frontenac.
Between the contractor AGM session, great conversations with peers, and the chance to step outside the day-to-day and talk about what’s next in our industry, it was a valuable reset—and a reminder of how much strength there is in this community.

Quebec City showed up in full charm mode and a lot of maple syrup.

Big thanks to ORAC - Ontario Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Association and everyone who made the event so well-run. Huge success, we can’t wait to celebrate the 60th AGM with everyone next year!

We welcomed 30+ women in construction to build confidence with golf, connect, and celebrate collaboration. The feedback was incredible.

We’re honoured to make a personal donation of $1,000 to Acton Food Share in celebration of Acton Eyecare’s 35th anniversary with Dr. Pond and Associates. As owners of Polair Heating & Air Conditioning, this is a deeply personal gesture of gratitude for the life-changing care we received.

Our story: In 2015, just months after moving to Acton, Dwaine went to Acton Eyecare for a routine checkup because his glasses had never really worked for him. Immediately, Dr. Lunardo diagnosed him with a degenerative eye disease called keratoconus—something that had gone undetected for years. Within weeks, Dwaine had surgery in Toronto, then received daily follow-up care from the Acton Eyecare team. Both eyes were operated on, leaving him unable to see properly for weeks. It was a stressful, anxious time, but the clinic took him in every day, offering reassurance and support through his recovery. Without their quick diagnosis and compassionate care, Dwaine would have soon needed a double cornea transplant or experienced complete loss of vision over time.

We can’t thank Acton Eyecare - Dr. John W. Pond & Associates enough for their expertise, kindness, and quick action. We share our story to encourage everyone to get regular eye care—one appointment can truly change your life. Our donation doesn’t come close to expressing our gratitude, but we hope it honours the clinic’s dedication to this community. Your eyesight is priceless.
