I have always had a dream to be able to travel the world and experience all of the wonderful sights and learn about different cultures. Thankfully I have been fortunate enough to start my journey. From a young child we had family vacations each year exploring different parts of Canada and parts of the United States. As I grew older and became more independent, I started to broaden my horizons when

it came to destinations. I love all types of travel. Exploring our "backyard" with hiking and camping trips to Canada's Rocky Mountains, Cruising the sea and getting a glimpse at what a destination has to offer, setting up home base in a large city and exploring the city and its surrounding communities all have their own special appeal. My other passion is animals and my husband and I are the proud guardians of two amazing American Pitbull Terriers who have taught both of us so much about unconditional love and breaking down stereotypes. We love to include them on our vacations whenever we can and so they get to come camping with us and love when we take them to hotels that truly cater to pets. I hope that this page assists you in even the smallest way to discover or enrich your passion for travel and exploring things that are different from your daily life. Did you know there are 3 different waterfalls sections on the Copalita River but most of the tours ONLY take you to Magic Falls.

Now the Magic Falls in Huatulco are beautiful and fun to visit but they are busy and involve a bit of hiking up the river so you are in and out of the water.

Book a private tour and you can customize it to see one (or more) of the other falls.

Today, I went with Oscar Jimenez and Top Tours Huatulco to the Llano Grande Falls (my favorite section). It is so quiet and in the jungle.

Pro tip: make sure you have the lunch at Finca las Glorias as part of the tour!

Aside from its fantastic landscapes, cuisine and culture, Chile is also an important destination for… astrotourism! What’s that? Basically, a fancy word for stargazing! Supposedly, Chilean skies are the clearest in the southern hemisphere, making the country an ideal place to spot constellations, planets, shooting stars and whatever else may brighten our skies. The country’s top star-gazing destinations are La Serena, Elqui Valley, San Pedro de Atacama, Antofagasta and Iquique, where you can find scientific observatories. In Mexico, the largest known population of Military Macaws (Ara militaris) live in Sabino Canyon, a narrow steep 750 foot deep canyon. Sabino Canyon is located in the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountains a two hour drive west of Oaxaca, Mexico.

Additionally, these birds can be found on the Pacific coast, from Sonora and Chihuahua to Oaxaca, while on the Gulf coast, they survive in Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Querétaro, and an isolated population between the states of Puebla and Oaxaca.

Extend your adventure and add a couple days along the coast to spot some of the beautiful shore birds and other beautiful birds of the region such as the roseate spoonbill, or the russet-crowned motmot. If you are lucky, along the way you might even spot a toucan!

Today's fishing day was a success. Our captain has 3 fish for his family, we each got to reel one in and we saw many Rays jumping and splashing around, turtles, a whale and the dolphins put on a spectacular show. Add in the calming sway of the ocean and I am ready for bed early tonight.

Today we take our friend for a day of fishing and exploring the Aquarium of Huatulco. The water is so calm. Check back later for the update of the day.

The rooms at this property are bright, spacious and offer a variety of styles. In most room categories you have the choice of a King bed or 2 QUEEN beds. Although this resort does not sell 2 Bedroom Family Suites, you are able to book a king option and a double option and then I am able to call in and SECURE the connecting room option for you. No worrying if your family/friends will be near you or on the opposite side of the resort. The Master Suites are HUGE providing a great gathering spot for large family or friends getaways or for that extra space for a romantic escape! Good morning from Mazatlan! #hyattinclusivecollection #mazatlan #dreamsresorts #winterinmexico After a long day of travel with some unplanned for extra time in Mexico City, I made it to the resort last night around 9:30 local time. Viva was a good option for a lower cost. They had a large selection of snacks and drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) available for purchase and the prices were not over inflated should you choose to b it y. The seats were comfortable enough although for someone tall, it would be tight...think of Sunwing for leg room comparison. Both of the planes I flew on were newer and very clean. Staff were friendly. It's chilly here this morning at only 10 degrees but the high for today will be mid 20s so I am enjoying a chilly coffee on my balcony in a very luxurious bath robe before I make my way down to the gym. This is the soundtrack I got to fall asleep to and the view as the sun rises behind me.

You never know what your day might have in store for you on the beaches of Oaxaca! Maybe you will be lucky enough to witness turtles climbing out of their nest to start their journey. But if not, I can help you book a tour to a turtle nesting sanctuary! There are so many wonderful experiences in Huatulco but this one is one of my favorites. ~You get to explore some of the small villages around Huatulco and learn about the people. ~You will learn about some of the plants growing and how they are used as medicines and in every day life. ~ Enjoy a short hike along the river enjoying a couple of different swimming holes along the way. ~ Cool off in the "refreshing" waters. Are you brave enough to jump in from the platform? After burning off some calories, it is time to eat. You will be treated to a delicious lunch of chicken, rice and beans before making your way back to town. #ProTip - pack your water shoes as they are needed for this activity.
