When traveling it's not always about the destination it's also the journey to get there!

👻 Is this the most haunted hotel in Canada?! 😱🕯️

I recently spent the night at the Olde Angel Inn in Niagara-on-the-Lake, said to be one of the most haunted hotels in Ontario… and possibly all of Canada!

Dating back over 200 years, this historic inn has a long history of ghostly tales, including reports of the spirit of Captain Swayze still lingering around the property. 👀

And apparently, some of the creepiest happenings occur in the basement, where you'll find the pub's bathrooms. 😳

But my experience? I stayed in the Governor's Room… and let's just say I had a rather unsettling night. While lying in bed, I felt as though someone was pushing down on the mattress beside me. 😨

Was it the old building settling? My imagination running wild? Or something a little more… paranormal? 👻

I'm still not sure, but I can tell you one thing: sleeping in a haunted hotel hits differently when you're the one lying in the bed!

✨ This hidden gem of a shop in Ontario is SO worth making the detour for! 🛍️🍂

While visiting Westport this summer, I planned a day trip to Perth and decided to make a few stops along the way. One of them? This absolute gem of a local shop in Elgin called The Tipped Ship! 🚗💛

Housed in a stunning historic building, this shop is packed with so many unique goodies that you might just need an extra bag for all your finds. 😍

And let's just say… I did NOT leave empty-handed!

🐦 A cute new sweater covered in birds (because, obviously!)
🍯 Locally made goodies, including Super Magic Taste
📚 The second book in a series by a local author

Plus, there's beautiful jewellery, consignment finds and so many other unique treasures!

But one of my favourite things about this shop? The owner! She's so lovely, friendly and full of great recommendations for other local spots to explore. And you know I'm always here for a small business that goes the extra mile! ❤️

🍂 Looking for an easy hike in Innisfil that feels like stepping into a fall fairytale? ✨🌳

Whether you're planning an easy day trip from Toronto, looking for easy trails near Barrie, or need a scenic stop on your way to Muskoka, let me introduce you to the Thornton-Cookstown Trans Canada Trail ! 🥾

This 14 km trail is perfect for a fall adventure. You can tackle it in one go by bike or explore it on foot in shorter sections.

🍁 My favourite section? The stretch between the 5th Sideroad and Thornton!

✨ 7 km round trip (3.5 km one way)
🥾 About 1–1.5 hours to walk
🚗 Start at the parking lot on the 5th Sideroad
🍂 The most magical fall colours!

And here's a little tradition of mine… I walk this trail every Thanksgiving. It's become one of my favourite ways to soak up the beauty of autumn in Ontario, and honestly, this stretch feels like something straight out of a storybook when the leaves change. ❤️

✨ POV: When you book a stay and the front and backyard are so magical you forget to go inside. 💦

This was SO me during my stay at The Old Mill Manor in Almonte! 😍

Between lounging in the hammock overlooking the river, floating around the pool on a flamingo, soaking in the hot tub, and enjoying the twinkle lights as the sun went down… I honestly didn’t want to go anywhere!

Sometimes the best part of a getaway isn’t exploring every little corner of a town, but finding a place that makes you want to slow down, stay awhile, and soak up every moment. ❤️

And The Old Mill Manor? It’s definitely one of those places!
