Calling all readers!

If you're looking for one of the best used bookstores in Ontario, I've got one you've got to add to your list!

By the Books in downtown Peterborough has a wide assortment of books and will have book lovers adding heaps to their TBR pile!

Within steps, I found 3 books to purchase! The owner was delightful and so helpful when I asked for a specific author, and they also suggested similar reads.

So, next time you're in town or if you're looking for a bookish day trip in Ontario, add By the Books to your must-visit list!

Looking for hidden gem hiking trails in Peterborough to explore this summer? 🌿🥾

One spot that completely surprised me was the Nature Trails at Trent University’s Wildlife Sanctuary. A short 10 minute drive from downtown Peterborough, this peaceful trail network feels like a quiet escape into nature, with forests, wetlands, and plenty of wildlife along the way.

There are 3 main trails starting from the main parking area, ranging from a short and easy roughly 2 km walk to a scenic nearly 4 km hike, making it a great option whether you want a quick nature stroll or a longer adventure.

It’s also an amazing spot for bird watching! 🐦 I observed 24 different bird species along the Red Trail alone, making this one of my favourite unexpected nature finds in the region.

If you’re planning summer adventures, definitely add these hiking trails in Peterborough to your list. 🌲✨

If there’s one place in Ontario that feels like where history, travel, art, culture, and storytelling all beautifully come together...

I genuinely think this museum should be on everyone’s Ontario summer bucket list — and honestly, it’s reason enough to plan a weekend getaway to Peterborough.

Beyond the incredible collection of canoes and watercraft, there are so many amazing events and experiences happening this summer, including:
