🇬🇧 UK ETA: New Travel Authorization Rules in 2025! ✈️

From January 8, 2025, non-EU citizens must apply for a £10 Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to enter the UK. Later in 2025, EU nationals will also need to apply. Here’s what you need to know:

🧐 What is ETA?
• ETA = Electronic Travel Authorisation
• Cost: £10
• Validity: 2 years, multiple entries allowed
• Required for tourism, short stays, and family visits
• Similar to the US ESTA system

👮🏻‍♀️ When does it start?
• Phase 1: Nationals of Bahrain 🇧🇭, Kuwait 🇰🇼, Oman 🇴🇲, Qatar 🇶🇦, Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦, and UAE 🇦🇪 already require ETA.
• Phase 2: From January 8, 2025, all non-EU/EEA nationals (including 🇺🇸, 🇨🇦, 🇮🇳, 🇦🇺, 🇳🇿) must have ETA.
• Phase 3: From April 2, 2025, EU/EEA nationals and residents of countries like France 🇫🇷, Germany 🇩🇪, Italy 🇮🇹, Spain 🇪🇸, and more will also need ETA.

❗️ Exceptions:
• Irish passport holders and UK dual citizens (traveling with a UK passport) do not need ETA.
