It is such an honour to share a space with a wild animal such as this majestic male elk.

At Roam Your Own, we do not promote any wildlife viewing tours and don’t seek animals out…we are just the visitors on their land. But it just so happened that we drove right by this big guy on our way to Johnson’s lake, and guests only took photos from our vehicle which remained on the road.

In the notes for this tour, this lovely couple from Missouri stated that they are “proud grandparents”, and are hiking parts of the Rockies to show their grandkids that grandpa and grandma still have lots of energy! (They said that even their hardest hike was still easier than taking care of three children under 3…and I agreed 🤣).

We are excited to announce our new tour to experience the Rocky Mountains on two wheels! Roam Your Own is the only tour company offering direct biking trailhead drop-offs and pick-ups: you choose your start and end points, and we’ll take care of everything else.

Ride one way and relax the other! After biking the Legacy Trail, Goat Creek, or Bow Valley Parkway, we’ll pick you AND your bikes up and return you to your starting point, or take you directly back to the rental shop to drop-off your bikes. You already did the trail one way, no need to backtrack, just call us :)

We can also help you arrange your bike rentals with any of our local partner shops in Canmore, Banff, or Lake Louise.
