The final weekend of the season is here!

A huge thank you to the incredible Mount Washy community for making the most of this season and having fun.

Mount Washington Alpine Resort will be open this Saturday and Sunday, from 10 am to 4 pm, for a final weekend of fun on the mountain together!

Thank you again to everyone for being a part of this season, and a huge shoutout to the Mount Washington Alpine Resort team for all of their hard work during some challenging conditions and making this past season as memorable as it has been!

Enjoy the mountain this winter with renovations completed both inside and outside the lodge! Lots of love has gone into enhancing the resort, improving it for all visitors.

The slopes themselves have been upgraded amongst other things on the mountain! Brush cutting, slope shaping, and slope smoothing work has been completed along the major runs including Upper Westerley, Upper Exhibition, Riptide, Whiskey Jack, and Fantastic.

Additionally, mechanical upgrades were completed on the Hawk Chair, new lighting was installed throughout the beginner “Green Zone,” and new snowmaking infrastructure was added to the tube park.

New equipment is now calling the resort home including two new snowcats, a new excavator, shuttle bus, improved drainage at the parking lot, and “additional essential equipment.”

Inside the Alpine Lodge, the restrooms have been refreshed, Ted’s Bar has received a “well-deserved glow-up” with new flooring, a redesigned bar top, and upgraded taps, and the resort has announced plans to open a new eatery in the future.

Crossing our fingers that the snow will do its thing and visit us this weekend! Friendly reminder to everyone heading up to the mountain to prepare accordingly and adventure safely. Have fun and be safe out there!❄️

Well folks, we don’t even need to ask if you’ve been watching the forecast. Vancouver Islanders are eagerly anticipating this weekend’s snowstorm to come to fruition. 🔮

With that in mind, a friendly reminder to please prepare to adventure safely, from your drive up to your powder laps.

Mountain weather can change quickly, and road conditions may be snow covered, icy, or low visibility. The team at Mainroad North Island Contracting LP does a great job maintaining the road, but that effort relies on cooperation from our community. Please make sure your vehicle is ready with proper winter tires, chains in case required, a full tank of gas, emergency supplies, and some extra time built into your plans. Being prepared helps keep the road open, traffic moving, and snow days rolling smoothly for everyone.

Fresh snow days are the best days, but getting here safely is always the priority. Carpool or take our shuttle bus to reduce traffic, and please respect parking cones. Once you’re here, ride within your ability, adventure with a buddy, and keep an eye on changing weather and visibility. Always remain within bounds and uphold the Responsibility Code.
