One of the highlights of my China trip in 2010 was seeing the pandas. Maybe I’ll get to go back and see them in the wild?!
Anyone else cheering on the pandas?!

Giant pandas are officially off the endangered list after the global population climbed 17 percent in a decade. That came out of habitat protection, breeding programs and a genuinely long stretch of international cooperation. Conservation wins on this scale do not come around often.

Turns out sustained effort works. Who knew.
