With the end of busy season in sight, I need to give a shoutout to my mom Nadine. In these last 10 weeks she’s washed and folded more than 50 loads of laundry for both our vacation rentals. On top of that she helps me with our 2, sometimes 3 cleans a week, mows the lawn and comforts me in my 3 small meltdowns this season has brought 😂🥹. Let’s give it up for mama Dean! ❤️ Couldn’t have done it without you! (& my husband Brian- but thy deserve their own posts)

Qu’Appelle Intepretive Trail is only 10 minutes from us, here at Echo Valley Provincial Park.

Enjoy a gorgeous hike with view of where Echo Lake meets Pasqua Lake. Afterwards head to the beach and playground at Echo Lake!

The last day Saskatchewan Fish Hatchery is open to visitors for the season is Labour Day- Sept 1st! You still have a few more weeks to view the fish and tour the facility if you have not already done so. They are open every day, including weekends, until then.

Allow me to re-introduce myself: My name is Dakota and I’m your host! Brian and I are the husband and wife team behind Lake House in the Valley here on Echo Lake and Cabin in the Valley on Katepwa Lake. During the day Brian works here in town at New West Concrete and I’m the District Supervisor for Driver Examinations rural south at SGI. In the evenings you’ll find my husband at the ball diamonds, golf course, or hockey rink… You’ll find me cleaning 😂 We are supported in all our endeavours by our extended family and very grateful to all our guests who make our grind a dream come true. I’ve received a few messages lately wondering if I am “Artificial Intelligence” and as cool as that would be to not be running my behind off 24/7, I am very much a human that is doing all of the work behind the scenes of your vacations.
