Ask someone where they grew up and they'll name a town.
Ask where they spent their summers and you'll usually get a lake.
The screen door that slapped shut behind you.
Water that was always colder than the grown-ups promised.
Card games that went on for hours when it rained.
The rule about waiting 30 minutes after lunch before you could swim.
For a lot of us, that cottage got sold somewhere along the way.
The summers don't have to go with it.
You don't need to own a place in the Haliburton Highlands to give your kids that kind of summer.
Just a week on the lake, and maybe the same 30-minute rule (whether they believe it or not 😅).
Next summer is closer than it feels. Start planning it on our website.
What's the one cottage rule from your childhood you'd pass down?
