I was in Jasper less than a month before the 2024 wildfires and returned to the same campsite this year. The burn starts about 40km south of the townsite and continues uninterrupted to the town and beyond. Very heartbreaking to see but looks like the town, residents and park are coming back strong 🩷

Stopped in Wawa to pickup snacks and souvenirs at the General Store then as I was driving out of town, a small sign caught my eye, “Fresh blueberries and winery, 2km”. Picked up jam and wine. I’ll be stopping again on my way home and will make time for a tour!

Less than one hour west of Ottawa is a cute town Eganville and the Bonnechere Caves. Check it out if you’re in the area!
