OLD TOWN PHUKET SUNDAY WALKING STREET MARKET 🇹🇭

After I recovered a bit from a bad case of flu, I finally got around to exploring the "old side" of Phuket.

Away from the famed beaches, the Sunday walking street was a very interesting find. Lots of familiar and not-so-familiar (to me) foods, trinkets, Souvenirs, shopping, and interesting sights. There were even live performances to entertain you.

This pedestrian only market is sandwiched between the colorful Sino-Portuguese shophouses and split into distinct zones.

When I got there before sunset, there were still some breathing room and enough space to walk without bumping into anybody. Peak crowds soon came after especially after the sun came down.

This was the next stop after Batu Caves for my short day trip out of Kuala Lumpur. Came for the aesthetics of course. Hoped for cooler weather but it was non existent that time.

KL staycation pt.1
Flying in from Ho Chi Minh, I was still feeling sick coming from a bad flu so I took a few days just staying in and enjoying the amenities of the apartment I rented in Kuala Lumpur.
It was unbearably hot, being the last few days of May heading into June 2023. It was also the first time I stayed at an apartment instead of a hotel. This was my third time in KL.
The koi pond at the lobby was really fun. I could watch them all day. But the rooftop pool was even more interesting so I spent early mornings and late afternoons there.

The apartment was quite big so I enjoyed lounging around. Plus it had Netflix so I was able to watch Love Between Fairy and Devil (my first CDrama after Meteor Garden?).

Next up: Chinatown and a day trip to Berjaya

WHAT TO DO FOR FREE IN BANGKOK, THAILAND 🇹🇭

The free light and sound show at ICONSIAM, known as "The ICONIC Multimedia Water Features," is a spectacular nightly attraction located at River Park, right along the Chao Phraya River.

Show Times (Daily):
7:00 PM
8:00 PM
9:00 PM

Features: A 400-meter-long fountain show featuring synchronized music, colorful lights, and water jets that shoot up to 35 meters high.

Setting: River Park, offering a stunning backdrop of the Bangkok skyline at night.

Duration: Typically 15 minutes.
