What an amazing time we had together in Iceland!

We hiked through breathtaking landscapes, soaked in world-class Nordic spas, shared incredible meals, persevered through all kinds of weather, and experienced so much of the beauty that Iceland has to offer.

Thank you for joining us on this adventure. We absolutely loved sharing our country with you, creating memories together, and experiencing the magic of Iceland as a group. ❤️

Until the next adventure!

There are few things more Icelandic than a lopapeysa (Icelandic wool sweater)... and we are completely obsessed!

In Iceland, it's almost a rite of passage. Nearly every child grows up with a hand-knit wool sweater made by their mom, grandma, or aunt (and these days, maybe even a few dads and grandpas are knitting too 😉).

Almost every Icelandic adult owns at least one. Vala has many—most lovingly knitted by her mom, one by her late grandma, and another by a friend's mom. Kate even has one that Vala's mom recently made just for her. ❤️

These sweaters aren't just beautiful—they're incredibly practical. Made from Iceland's unique dual-layer lopi wool, they repel moisture, block the wind, and trap body heat, keeping you warm even in Iceland's ever-changing weather.

If you don't have an Icelandic knitter in your family, our favourite place to find one is Litla Lopasjoppan (The Little Wool Shop) in Vala's hometown of Hella, just an hour from Reykjavík on the South Coast. Every sweater is hand-knit by local women. The shop's owner, Berglind Kristinsdóttir, is as warm and welcoming as the sweaters themselves—and you'll often find her sitting behind the counter with knitting needles in hand. 🧶

It's one of those special places where you don't just buy a sweater—you take home a piece of Icelandic tradition.

Have you ever owned an Icelandic wool sweater? Or is it on your Iceland wish list?

After a full day hiking in Þakgil, we gathered beneath the cliffs to share a meal together in a volcanic cave. Iceland never stops reminding us how extraordinary this landscape really is. 🇮🇸

Waterfalls and gale-force winds. Iceland in all its glory.

We've wandered behind waterfalls, hiked through a remote canyon, and made our way into Iceland's breathtaking Highlands—where the famous Icelandic winds reminded us who's really in charge.

Every day brings new adventures, incredible landscapes, and plenty of laughter. We can't wait to share what's next.

A moment of awe.

Some of the best moments in nature are the quiet ones. Slowing down. Sitting by the fire. Listening to the waves. Doing absolutely nothing for a while.

A little behind-the-scenes from our Killarney scouting trip this past weekend. 🛶✨

We realized afterwards that about 90% of our photos are just dogs in canoes... which feels very on brand. 🐾

The September route is everything we'd hoped for, and we can't wait to head back with our group this fall! 😊

Yoda and Aoife have always been our hiking and camping buddies, but somehow we'd never taken them canoeing.

Heading out today, we weren't quite sure what to expect. Yoda isn't exactly a fan of water, and Aoife still brings plenty of chaotic puppy energy to every adventure.

To our surprise, they both settled right in. No drama, no panic—just two happy dogs taking in the sights and enjoying the ride. By the end, they looked completely at home in the canoe.

We're pretty thrilled, because this means they'll be joining us on our canoe adventure in Killarney Provincial Park next weekend. 💚

Have your dogs ever surprised you by loving something you thought they'd hate?

There’s something magical about seeing a tent glowing softly in the darkness of the forest.

A small light surrounded by towering trees, the quiet of the night, and the feeling that for a moment, the whole world has slowed down. Cozy, peaceful, and awe-inspiring all at once.

Some of the simplest moments in nature stay with us the longest.
