Reflecting on this year's Secret Santa campaign brings tears of joy to my eyes as I see the incredible impact of love and generosity from so many caring individuals.
This year, caseworkers submitted 441 forms for recipients through various agencies and we distributed an additional 327 care packages for our unhoused friends, which were shared between the Integrated Care Hub, Adelaide, In From The Cold, and Concession St Warming Centre.
Thanks to each one of you, these individuals, many of whom would have otherwise spent this year alone, are now feeling loved, cared about, and filled with hope.
I am incredibly thankful for the remarkable businesses and individuals that were instrumental in making our Secret Santa campaign a resounding success:
AMJ Campbell, who generously provided the drop-off space to make this initiative possible.
Mile and a Quarter Ice Cream / Coffee Trends and KOPI, who kindly offered space for additional items for care packages to be dropped off.
L&M Home renovations, for their unbelievable sponsorship of nearly 50 individuals, the many individuals who sponsored, and those who financially contributed to help us complete wish lists for those who went unsponsored.
An Apple A Daycare who sponsored a family and creating an unforgettable Christmas in their new place.
I can’t forget our volunteers: Carolyn (who also went shopping), Tom, and Lucy, our drivers, and our shoppers, Candice, Darlene, and Laura (who was also kept busy answering many of your messages and updating our page!).
I also have to extend my gratitude to the caseworkers who helped keep me organized and updated.
My sincerest appreciation goes out to all of you who have helped make Christmas dreams a reality. Your kindness and generosity are what make this time of year so magical and wonderful.
