Helloooo, friends!! FALL Pottery Classes are locked & loaded! This year, we offer a 6 week flight of weekly classes with afternoon and evening options. We'll cover Handbuilding, Wheel work, and Surface Decoration... beginners always welcome! Advanced students can work independently with support where needed. Classes are small, spaces limited. Registration is now open for Classes & Special Workshops with Blackbird Pottery!

Our Spring weekly classes will run for 8 weeks starting the first week of April.

Wednesday Afternoons, 1-4, (just 2 seats left)
Thursday afternoons 1-4, (3 seats left)
Wednesday & Thursday Evening classes run from 6:30-9:30

This year, we have 3 weeklong workshops on offer:
Pot Your Heart Out, July 1-5
Deepening the Surface: Layers & Print, July 22-27
Form, Surface & Woodfire, September 16-22, in collaboration with Lisa Barry of Homestead Pottery

Update:
Pottery classes start this week, and we now have 2 spaces left in BOTH Wednesday & Thursday Evening Classes. 6:30-9pm. All the details can be found on our website.
These classes are beginner friendly. Learn a new skill or build on existing ones in a supportive and creative studio.
We are located at the Donald Schoolhouse 8km from Haliburton and about 20km to Minden depending on your route.

The Ivy car charging station located at the Haliburton Welcome Centre will be inaccessible from August 18th to August 20th, 2023, due to the parking lot being used for an event. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Starting soon... Weekly Pottery Class/es alert!!

For those who live within driving distance, we are launching another fleet of weekly classes beginning the week of March 20th.

We've scheduled a Wednesday afternoon class from 1-4 (4 seats left) AND an Evening Clay session on Thursdays from 6:30-9pm (2 seats left)!!

Both sessions are beginner-friendly where we will lead with instruction, but if you are already experienced with clay, you are welcome to work more independently. We are happy to mentor from where you're at in your personal clay journey!

Our studio is fully equipped with 8 electric pottery wheels, a good old kick wheel, large slab roller, tools, general & specialized supplies, brushes & various molds for slab work.

This Spring, we'll be using a smooth toasty grey stoneware. If you've been looking for a creative outlet, we invite you to give clay a chance!
