🇨🇦 Government of Canada – Current Advisory for Mexico

General safety level:
👉 The Government of Canada currently advises travellers to exercise a high degree of caution when travelling in Mexico due to elevated levels of criminal activity, organized crime and kidnappings. 

Regional updates due to recent violence:
• Because of a recent surge in violence linked to criminal cartels — including violent incidents and travel disruptions (e.g., blocked roads, canceled flights) — the advisory has been expanded to recommend avoiding non-essential travel to certain states and areas right now. 
• Popular destinations like Puerto Vallarta and the state of Jalisco have seen situations where Canadians have been advised to shelter in place or remain in secure locations as authorities work to restore order.

🏝️Day 8 : Chalotte Amalie is a city, part of the island of St Thomas, part os US Virgin Islands.
It’s a beautiful island, my first impressions are that it feels safe being there because everything is really civilized . No big surprises .

Unfortunately, we did not have a lot of time to visit the island , you can see the pictures of the touristic village , captured by my camera.

Day 7 : The island of Antigua surprised us. It’s very clear that the part next to the port is poor, average people don’t have the means of those people who live on some richer islands like St Martin or St Thomas.

On this island, you have to be careful where you go and calculate the traffic time. Or you might miss the ship and the All Onboard time!

Another beautiful island to see !

Day 6 : Bassetere, St Kitts and Nevis . It’s easy to go around with a taxi. You cannot walk to go to a beach. This is where we had beautiful time snorkeling at South Friers Bay 🏊‍♀️👙🩱🤿

Day 5 : Phillipsburg , Dutch St Marten. The most amazing attraction is being able to see airplanes landing and take off so close to the beach.
One of the few places in the world where you can see that !
