A couple weeks ago, I was able to tour the Holland America Koningsdam while it was in Vancouver! It is currently performing their Alaska itineraries. Being much smaller than other cruising the seas, it was much quicker to navigate each floor. My favourite areas were the art room and Crow's Nest- a versatile space offering panoramic views with a large selection of puzzles and board games!

Did you know that we can work together to create your own custom itinerary? That's actually what drew me to the travel industry!

Our family was fortunate enough to score amazingly priced tickets when Fiji Airways launched their Vancouver route- I'm talking about $2500 CAD for three adults, a four year old, and a sixteen month old in lap!! Flights were Vancouver to Brisbane, Australia, with a layover in Nadi, Fiji. While we only has twelve days to spend exploring, we made so many memories in this beautiful destination!! Depending on the region, Queensland has both tropical and subtropical climates. If you love warm weather and wildlife, but still enjoy the ease of efficient public transportation and minimal communication barriers, Queensland should totally be on your radar!

Top highlights from our itinerary include spending three nights at Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort- "Home of the Manta Ray" (snorkelling alongside these gentle giants was so surreal!!), visiting Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary- an approximately 67 acre sanctuary that focuses on education and rehabilitation (they feed wild lorikeets twice daily, and the experience of having hundreds of these birds fly in and land all over you was amazing!!), and spending time exploring Southbank Parklands in Brisbane.
