Wednesdays are for wandering Baker Street! 🥕🧺

Every Wednesday throughout the summer, the Nelson Farmers Market brings local farmers, food producers, artisans and makers right into the heart of downtown Nelson.

Fill your market bag with fresh produce, discover locally made pottery, jewelry, apothecary and home goods, or grab something delicious to eat while you browse. Then keep the day going with a wander through downtown Nelson’s independent shops, cafes and patios.

Wildfire smoke can change outdoor plans quickly. A day meant for hiking, biking or time on the lake may suddenly become a day to explore indoors.

Fortunately, there’s plenty to discover beyond the region’s trails, parks and shorelines. Wander through museums and galleries, browse local shops and artisan studios, catch a film or live performance, book a spa treatment or make a memorable meal the main event.

Discover 8 ways to enjoy a smoky day around Nelson and Kootenay Lake through the link in our bio or at https://nklt.travel/8-indoor-things-to-do ⭐️

If you’re currently visiting the region or planning a trip this summer, please stay informed by checking BC Wildfire Service alerts and current local conditions. Our hearts are with everyone affected by wildfires this season, as well as the crews and communities working to keep people safe.
