I love the choices for this ship! The Believe will start sailing late 2027!
Plus 3 new ships coming in 2029! These ships are in a new class which are smaller than the Wish class and only slightly bigger than the Magic and the Wonder! I think these ships will be the perfect size!

Our last port day was in Ketchikan. We decided to walk around town to do some shopping then venture down Creek Street. Creek Street is a historic boardwalk on stilts with shops and also home of the salmon run. We watched hundreds of salmon trying to make their way up the rushing waters to go home to lay their eggs. It is definitely something remarkable to watch!

Icy Stait Point is a port area made specifically for cruise ships. They’ve turned an old cannery into shops and restaurants plus added a gondola to take you up the mountain. There are activities such as an obstacle course, one of the world’s largest zip lines which is higher than the Empire State Building and many excursions to take.

We chose to take the gondola to the top of the mountain and explore some trails. Later we did some shopping, had lunch and while skipping rocks on the beach saw a whale in the distance.

Icy Strait Point was a relaxing day, the area never felt busy even with 3 cruise ships in port.

Our first port day was in Skagway. We took an 8 hour excursion that had us board a bus to drive us to Carcross, YK. We got to stop at some scenic locations along the way and then boarded the White Pass Train back to Skagway. The pictures don’t show the true beauty of this area.

Our first stop on our Alaskan itinerary was a glacier viewing day at Stikine Icecap. This day is all about sailing down the beautiful narrow passage to see the glacier while meeting characters in their special Alaskan outfits and free unlimited hot chocolate! For lunch Harper and I decided to warm up in the room with the free room service. The hot tomato soup was exactly what I needed.

Sailing from the Port of Vancouver is so easy and convenient. There are so many hotels within walking distance or take the Sky Train right to the port.

We chose to stay the night prior at the Pan Pacific Hotel which is connected to the port. We loved being able to watch the cruise ships from the 8th floor pool deck. On embarkation morning the hotel staff come to your room to take your luggage right to your ship! No need to worry about lugging bags! You can then take an elevator right down into the terminal.

This morning we disembarked from the beautiful Disney Magic!

This ship is the first in Disney’s fleet and is 28 years old. Disney has done a fantastic job to keep this ship from looking its age. It is also one of the smallest in the fleet with 10 decks and approximately 2700 passengers making this ship easy to navigate.

As with all Disney ships there are 3 rotational dining restaurants to enjoy, lounges, kids clubs and a theatre that hosts multiple Broadway style shows throughout your cruise plus much more!

Currently this ship sails out of Vancouver for Alaskan sailings and Galveston, Texas for Western Caribbean sailings.
