Today we had the Rec councils "Summer Fun" kids come enjoy some fossil based activities. We all had a blast learning new fossil facts!!

Sometimes, plant matter is pressed down during fossilization - this leaves a beautiful pattern on a rock. This fossil is actually part of a petrified tree!
