We have the "inside scoop" on a last minute "Grand Tour" of Antarctica - 24 October - 13 November this year. You would be on a 108 passenger ship and you'd be spending time in the Falkland Islands, South Georgia Island (a.k.a. Serengeti of Antarctica) and the Antarctica Peninsula. Prices for a double cabin start at US$13,700 / person, shared. This is really a VERY good price for a 21 day trip.

We're running an "Active Antarctica" trip in November 2027 - Kathy will be leading it. We might also have room remaining on our "Grand Tour of Antarctica" (Feb-Mar 2028) led by CNH Tours owners Heather and Marc, and possibly our "Search for the Emperor Penguin" this coming November...

As for the Arctic - it's a veritable candy store of options. Danna is off next week to Iceland, where she leads a group of our guests on a Greenland, Lancaster Sound, Baffin Island, Torngat Mountains and Newfoundland journey. When you're considering spending quite a bit of money (and time) for a trip of a lifetime, it seems reasonable to think that you'd rather do so with a real expert with real on-the-ground experience at your side to help you make choices most suited to your interests. 321 tonnes!

Every 6 months, we tally up how much CO2 our trips generate and we purchase the equivalent in verified emission reduction credits through The Gold Standard crediting organization. We have compensated for 321 tonnes of CO2 emissions
released into the atmosphere.

The Gold Standard is among the top, if not THE top crediting organization out there.

𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝗱𝘀?

Galapagos is a truly iconic wildlife destination on a global scale.

BUT.....

As far as bird diversity goes - it's rather limited....

While in Ecuador, you shouldn't discard the chance to spend a few days on the mainland. This small country is full of wonder.

Take birds for starters. No other country on Earth surpasses Ecuador in terms of bird richness overperformance. Given its small size and thanks to the great diversity of ecosystems, a casual visitor on the mainland, with relatively little effort, can more easily spot a huge number of different and very often amazingly coloured bird species (such as this jewel, the Paradise tanager in the picture below).
