Right on the shores of Okanagan Lake, surrounded by friends, neighbours, winemakers and more than a few very good bottles of Naramata Bench wine.

Tailgate takes over Manitou Beach Park next Sunday, September 13 for an afternoon of wine, food, local makers, live music and a good old-fashioned Naramata harvest celebration.

The setting is pretty hard to beat. The company will be even better.

NARAMATA GATHERS 🍂

This fall, we’re gathering around everything that makes harvest season in Naramata so special - wine, food, farms, art, music, community and the people behind it all.

For 10 days, the Naramata Bench will come alive with special events, dinners, tastings, performances, live music, harvest experiences and plenty of reasons to linger a little longer.

Come for the day.
Come for the weekend.
Or make a trip of it and join us for the full 10-day celebration.

Stay in the village or along the Bench, choose the experiences that speak to you, and build your own Naramata Gathers adventure.

Apparently, Sunday is the place to be in Naramata this weekend. ☀️

Saturday? Take your pick. Wander the village shops, settle in somewhere delicious, taste your way along the Bench, hop on a bike or hit the trails - and generally take the day as it comes.

But Sunday? Sunday has plans.

There are SIX different events happening around the village and along the Naramata Bench and it’s quite the lineup. Pet sketches. Live music. A garden party. Vintage fashion. And a guest chef dinner to round out the evening.

Basically, you could start your Sunday with absolutely no plans and somehow end up having a very Naramata kind of day.

Naramata, you sure know how to show up. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for the Naramata Village Summer Social and spent the afternoon supporting our small but mighty business community.

Whether you stopped by for a sneaky afternoon sip from one of our amazing beverage producers, enjoyed dinner from a local food vendor, sipped a rosé or a Negroni on the lawn at the Inn, played a round (or two!) at the RDOS Play Trailer, snapped a photo in our beachy photo booth, enjoyed Rosé & Fries at just Baked 9 Mile, cooled off with a smoothie or milkshake at Frankie’s or ice cream at the Naramata Store, filled out a passport for prizes, enjoyed a little shopping therapy wandering through the village shops - or managed to fit in all of the above😎 - thank you for coming out and being part of it.

We were especially happy to welcome so many of our friends and neighbours from Summerland. With everything your community has been navigating over the past days, we hope the afternoon offered a little reprieve, some familiar faces and a chance to simply enjoy being together.

Events like this are a wonderful reminder of what makes our little corner of the Okanagan so special: community supporting community.

From all of us at Discover Naramata and our local small businesses, thank you for spending the afternoon with us. We loved having you. ❤️

Naramata, you sure know how to show up. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for the Naramata Village Summer Social and spent the afternoon supporting our small but mighty business community.

There are stories that deserve to be told.

This one is about the incredible teenagers and young adults who keep Naramata humming through its busiest season.

They’re making your coffee, serving your pizza, scooping your ice cream, pouring your wine, welcoming you where you stay, stocking shelves, and greeting you with a smile.

They’re also gaining confidence, learning life skills, and becoming an important part of the businesses and the community.

In a small village like Naramata, it truly takes a village.

Local businesses invest in our young people, and in return, these students become the heartbeat of summer, helping to keep things running smoothly through the busy months at so many of the places we all know and love.

Our latest story, The Heartbeat of Naramata’s Summer Workforce, celebrates these remarkable young people and the business owners who believe in giving them that first opportunity.

Our brand new Naramata Bench Adventure Map, created in partnership with Backroad Maps, has officially arrived!

Packed with inspiration for exploring the Naramata Bench, this map is your go-to guide whether you’re here for the day, settling in for a week, or dreaming up a future getaway.

Inside you’ll find information on beaches, parks, boating, camping, fishing, paddling, hiking, biking and more, along with scenic routes, local highlights, annual community events and plenty of fun facts that help you experience Naramata the way the locals know and love it.

The maps are available now through the link in our bio, or you can pick one up locally 4th Meridian Art + Interiors Sun n' Sup, Naramata Centre , and the NaramataSlow table at the Naramata Farmers Market. More local locations will be announced soon!

Tonight on the Naramata Bench 🍷🌅

The Naramata Bench Wineries Spring Release Event kicks off this evening from 4pm, with wineries across the Bench opening their doors for spring wine releases, special tastings, patio experiences, food pairings, live music, and more.

It’s the perfect way to start the May Long Weekend - whether you’re planning a full Bench tour or simply stopping in for a glass of wine and sunset views over Okanagan Lake.
