Shocking Study Reveals Contaminated Water on Airplanes like e coli.

As for what you should take away from these findings, the researchers said you should "never" drink any water on a flight unless it came from a sealed bottle. That includes coffee or tea made with tap water. Additionally, you should not wash your hands with tap water; use "alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol" instead.

And if you're wondering how airplane water can get so nasty, the researchers explained that unlike your municipal water, which has a "continuous flow and regular monitoring," aircraft water systems are often stagnant (think of times between flights) and experience temperature variations from ground to takeoff, cruising, descent, and landing, creating environments "conducive to biofilm formation and microbial proliferation."

It should be noted that all airlines are technically responsible for providing clean, potable water onboard under the Aircraft Drinking Water Rule. However, the study found that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rarely, if ever, issues citations for water violations. So bring hand sanitizer and fill your water bottle before you fly, just in case.

Yes. Despite the American Civil Liberties Union referring to this as “a contested legal issue,” the U.S. government is clear: “CBP officers may search a traveller’s mobile phone, computer, camera, or other electronic devices during the inspection process.”

What questions can be asked at the border?

According to the travel consulting firm GovAssist, there are basic questions that all visitors should be ready to answer. These include purpose of visit, duration of stay, place of accommodation and, if you’re there on business, the nature of your occupation.

But note your recourse options :
Travellers also have the right to remain silent, and the right to refuse being searched. However, taking advantage of these rights is likely to also leave one denied entry.

If staying in US for more than 30 days a new form has to be registered, and you get finger printed. And the form has to be carried with you where ever you go. Consequences could be severe?

There is also the right to withdraw from the border on your own.
Or not go there in the first place.

Imade a major mistake when flying Ryanair last week–I booked a windowless window seat (it’s 11A, for those who might not know). So, I did what anyone would in my situation–I tweeted about it. Surprisingly, I got a response from the airline: “Hi, i’m here to help and sorry for the inconvenience. Kindly follow back and DM us with your booking reference as well as your reachable phone number. Thank you.”
Only, it wasn’t really Ryanair, which uses the handle . This was “RaynAir,” with the handle . It was a fake account looking to get me to reveal personal information.
