Get your rod and reel! Saskatchewan’s summer Free
Fishing Weekend is here!

From July 11-12, residents and visitors can cast a line on any provincial waterbody without purchasing an angling licence. It’s the perfect excuse to gather the family, head to the lake, and make some memories.

A few quick reminders before you head out:

🏕️ National Parks: A valid licence is still required to
fish inside Prince Albert National Park.

🚫 Keep it Legal: All standard catch limits, size restrictions, and lake-specific regulations still apply.

🚙 Leaving the Province? You still need a licence if you plan to transport your catch out of Saskatchewan.

Grab your gear, respect the water, and let’s see those catches! Where are you heading this weekend?

Hi everyone! My name is Emily (). I live in both the north on Reindeer Lake and the south in the SW. I started guiding for fishing in 2018, and waterfowl shortly after. I am a first-generation hunter and angler in my family, and I raced dirt bikes for most of my life. I enjoy targeting multi-species on conventional gear as well as fly fishing. Big fish are what make me the happiest.

Hi, I'm Whitney Gouw (.whitney). I'm a self-taught hunter and angler who got into the outdoors about 6–7 years ago and, what started as learning everything on my own to gain more outdoor hobbies, turned into a passion and eventually led me to guiding for Plummer's Arctic Lodges. I'd say my mains are fishing walleye, and hunting bears and whitetails, with the goal of going after bigger game once I gain more experience.

Hello, my name is Kaiden Fletcher, or as some know me, . I’m 23 years old and you could say I am completely obsessed with anything fishing. Fun fact: all of my cats have been named after something to do with fishing! I’ve been very fortunate to fish all over this amazing province and capture some of its unique and diverse beauty. My top three favourite species to fish for would be Lake Trout, Walleye, and Pike. I’m hoping this year to break some new personal bests and capture more of Saskatchewan’s beauty to share with everyone! Tight lines!
