I know some people don’t know this but my friend and I often go to Cuba for 2 weeks to just take a break and I can tell you we have always had a great time. This time we went to Memories Jibicoa just outside of Matanzas. We have never gone to the same resort twice as we like different experiences but this is the first time we said we will go back. We are also pretty easy travellers and expectations are not 5 star.
They are very friendly people that work so hard for so little. We always bring some necessities that are hard for them to buy there, it is much appreciated and needed.
We have no problem going on an excursion outside the resort and this time did not disappoint. We hired a car with a driver and a guide. The old cars are handed down in the families and are in mint condition. We visited Mantanzas, an amazing cave 750 down and also
went to the most beautiful cenote. I could say much more but I will leave it at that. So if you have been on the fence about Cuba, check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.
