This evening Lovy Adventures was in attendance at the Saskatoon Black Business Network Town-hall to discuss pathways for Entrepreneurial Growth for the Black Communities in Saskatchewan, it was inspiring to see so many Black Entrepreneurs with diverse businesses.

Thank you for hosting such an incredible event and echoing our voices honestly this was much needed and we are thankful for this great opportunity to go forward as community and work jointly to amplify our contributions to the economy of not only the province but Canada as well.

In great company of my brilliant sisters and among others.

🇰🇪 Kenya, Africa’s Timeless Wilderness
Kenya is where the spirit of Africa feels most alive, a land of sweeping savannahs, dramatic landscapes, and wildlife encounters that seem almost mythical. From golden grasslands to jagged mountains and coral-fringed coastlines, it’s a country that embodies the raw beauty and rhythm of the wild.

At the heart of Kenya lies the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve, home to one of nature’s greatest spectacles, the Great Migration. Each year, millions of wildebeest and zebras thunder across the plains in a relentless journey for survival, shadowed by predators in a powerful display of life’s delicate balance.

Rising above the central highlands is Mount Kenya, Africa’s second-highest peak. Its rugged, glacier-clad summit towers over lush forests and alpine meadows, offering not just a climb, but a passage through diverse ecosystems that feel worlds apart.

In the shadow of Kilimanjaro, Amboseli National Park delivers one of the most iconic safari scenes on Earth, vast herds of elephants roaming beneath the towering backdrop of snow-capped peaks, a striking contrast between earth and sky.

Further north, the stark beauty of Samburu National Reserve reveals a more rugged and remote Kenya, where rare species like the Grevy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe roam freely across arid landscapes shaped by time.

Along the Indian Ocean, Kenya softens into a tropical escape. The white sands and turquoise waters of Diani Beach offer tranquility, while the historic streets of Lamu Old Town echo centuries of Swahili culture, where African, Arab, and Persian influences blend seamlessly.

From the flamingo-filled shores of Lake Nakuru to the dramatic cliffs of Hell's Gate National Park, Kenya’s landscapes are as diverse as its wildlife, each region telling a story carved by nature.

Culturally rich and deeply rooted in tradition, Kenya is home to vibrant communities such as the Maasai and Samburu, whose heritage and connection to the land add depth and meaning to every journey.

Kenya is more than a destination,it’s a feeling. A place where every sunrise over the plains, every distant call of wildlife, and every horizon reminds you that here, nature still leads.

This evening I attended the Film Screening of the “Second Wind” a story of five Ukrainian solders, four veterans with lower-limb amputations and one active-duty servicewoman who climbed Africa’s highest peak Mount Kilimanjaro.

The film carried a charitable mission with all proceeds going to the provision of comprehensive physical and mental health rehabilitation programs for the Ukrainian soldiers.

I got a chance to speak to Oleksandr Pedan — producer and host of the project and Vladyslav “Shatya” Shatil — film protagonist and veteran about how beautiful Kilimanjaro is and how such journeys have lasting impact on us, at one point we started talking about climate change washing away the glacier on Kilimanjaro indeed it was inspiring and motivational.

The film is being screened across Canada,If the film is coming to your city go watch it I highly recommend and for my Saskatoon people second wind is having a marathon in June be sure to support.
