I didn’t sit down one day and think “I’m going to build a travel business.”

It kind of... happened.

I’ve always loved travel. Properly loved it — the planning, the researching, the finding the best way to do somewhere rather than just the obvious tourist version. Japan is a good example. Most people think it’s complicated. I think it’s one of the most magical places on earth and I will drag anyone there who’ll let me. 🇯🇵

For a long time I assumed that if I wanted to work in travel properly, I’d need to retrain. And that just wasn’t realistic — I couldn’t afford the time or the salary drop from my day job. I also looked into other routes and the start up costs alone were in the tens of thousands. It just didn’t feel possible.

And then I started watching people online doing exactly what I wanted to do. And I looked into how.

What I found stopped me in my tracks. Low barrier to entry. No targets. No quotas. No pressure to drop everything and start again. Just a real, flexible business I could build around my actual life — when and how it suited me.

So I did it.

I’m not going to pretend every day is perfect or that it happens overnight. But it fits my life in a way a lot of things don’t. And it’s grown into something I’m genuinely proud of.
