Why pay tuition when you can study for FREE in America? 🇺🇸

No one talks enough about these opportunities.

My advice to you: broaden your school search.

Don’t focus only on the popular universities everyone knows. There are hundreds of universities across the United States offering scholarships, tuition support, graduate assistantships, research assistantships and teaching assistantships to eligible students.

Some graduate assistantships come with tuition waivers plus a stipend, which can significantly reduce how much you have to pay for your education.

And here’s something many international students don’t realize: at some universities, you don’t even need a separate scholarship application. You may be automatically considered for certain merit scholarships when you apply for admission.

For example, I’m currently at the University of Maine 🇺🇸, where eligible international undergraduate students can receive merit scholarships, while graduate students can explore graduate, teaching and research assistantship opportunities.

So before you tell yourself, “I can’t afford to study in America,” ask yourself:

A 37-week pregnant Nigerian woman was reportedly stopped while trying to travel to the United States. 😳✈️

According to reports, officials believed the purpose of the trip was for the baby to be born in the U.S., where most children born on U.S. soil automatically acquire U.S. citizenship under the 14th Amendment, regardless of their parents’ nationality.

NB: Here’s what every traveler should know:

1. A U.S. visa is not a guarantee of entry. Border officers make the final decision at the port of entry.

2. Traveling late in pregnancy may attract additional scrutiny. Airlines may require a medical certificate, and immigration officers may ask more questions about your trip.

3. If officers believe the primary purpose of your trip is birth tourism or that you may become a public financial burden, they can refuse admission.
