Happy !

I wanted to say hello 👋 and acknowledge some of our recent clients, friends & Travel Talk Toronto members who are off or about to set off on some early summer holidays!

There’s a family enjoying the sunshine and making memories at Majestic Mirage Costa Mujeres 🇲🇽, while a multi-generational family are off to meet up for some adventures at Coconut Bay in beautiful St. Lucia 🇱🇨. Another couple are enjoying a break from the hectic pace of life with a restorative stay at Sandals Royal Curacao 🇨🇼. A group of friends are preparing to board a Uniworld ship for a Bordeaux 🍷 river cruise and exploration of France 🇫🇷. There are also a few others off to Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and BC 🇨🇦, France 🇫🇷 and Croatia 🇭🇷 as well as Kenya 🇰🇪.

We hope that these trips ✈️ are inspiring your next holiday and you’ll reach out soon, so that we can start planning together. Sadly true…

WestJet and Sunwing are suspending all Cuba flights and vacation operations indefinitely, creating a major travel shakeup for Canadians booking Caribbean trips.

The suspension applies to WestJet, Sunwing Vacations, WestJet Vacations, and WestJet Vacations Québec, after the companies first paused Cuba service earlier this year due to the country’s worsening energy and fuel crisis. The airlines had previously been expected to resume some service later this year, but the pause has now been extended until further notice.

For Toronto travellers, the move could push more winter vacation demand toward destinations like Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and other Caribbean markets. Guests with affected bookings will be contacted directly and offered either a refund or a rebooking to another destination.

Had a lovely visit onboard the Viking Polaris expedition ship, currently sailing the Great Lakes and having its first stop of the season in the Port of Toronto. This understatedly elegant vessel has so many great feature, from a hangar with submersibles and special ops boats to a science lab and plenty of nooks to enjoy some quiet time with a book and a coffee. The Polaris is rated as an icebreaker, and explores Antarctica 🇦🇶 part of the year, moving up to the Great Lakes in summer and on to the Arctic Circle.

✈️ Classic England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 coach tour for a recently retired couple on their 3rd trip this year!
