We spend 1/3 of our lives sleeping and a good night's sleep is priceless. At This Is J our collection of comfortable and stylish fashion accessories comes to life through our unique & vibrant prints. Inspiration for our designs comes from our everyday experiences and interactions with the world around us - through travel, the antique markets we scour, and the naturally occurring textures and patterns in nature. The comfortable fit & feel of our products remains consistent from season to season, however our bold and colorful patterns breathe new life into This Is J products each year. We design, dye, and hand print all of the textiles in our collection before transforming them into functional stylish fashion accessories. Our signature patterns are used throughout the entire collection to create the distinct This Is J look.

From headbands to pajamas: The evolution of This is J✨

Our vision was simple from the beginning: find the balance between functionality and comfort.

After designing headbands both to keep hair out of my face and to look cute, I started looking for other comfortable pieces to design. ☁️

That’s how we landed on our signature Bamboo Jammers® ! 🌿

Every layer of design is screen printed with love. 🤍 Take a peek at our process! 👀

Each layer of colour in our designs is made into a single sheet of film, that gets burned onto a screen.

Our Pantone matched colours get poured layer by layer onto the corresponding screen.

Squeegee rollers pass gently and rhythmically over each screen one at a time to lay down a soft layer of ink.

As the screens are lifted back, the design slowly reveals itself.

The fabric then passes through the dryer to set the inks before being reframed to its original shape.

Our last step is washing the fabric to pre-shrink and prepare it for cutting.
