This is exactly why I love cruising.

One of the best parts of being on the Celebrity Beyond for Learning at Sea has been getting to experience Grand Cayman like this.

I booked this excursion because I wanted a day on the water, some time on a quiet beach and the chance to see starfish up close. I got all of that - plus an amazing mangrove experience, fantastic guides and the surprise of spotting a rare four-pointed starfish.

I love that a cruise can give you a comfortable home base while still giving you the opportunity to step off the ship and have completely different experiences in each port.

Today was boats, mangroves, starfish and beach time. Tomorrow, who knows?

That’s my favourite part.

One button and my Celebrity Beyond stateroom handles the bedtime routine for me.

Lights dim.
Blackout shade comes down.
Room = ready for sleep.

And honestly, after a long day of exploring, I am very happy to let the room do the work.

It’s the little things that make a stateroom feel really well thought out.

Early morning ship exploring starts tomorrow... so this feature may be getting a LOT of use.

I’m officially onboard Celebrity Beyond for a 7-night Learning at Sea program and I’m ready to put this beautiful ship through its paces.

I’ll be up very early exploring the ship before most people are awake, chasing sunrises, checking out the staterooms, exploring the spaces I know my clients will want to know about and of course, getting off the ship to explore some new ports along the way.

There will be plenty of learning happening too - because that's the whole point of being here. I want to come home with firsthand knowledge I can use when helping you decide if Celebrity is the right fit for your vacation.

There are lots of Miami pre-cruise hotel options but for me AC Hotel Brickell Miami will be my choice!

In the heart of financial district in Miami - with trains, boats, amazing food, music and rosters everywhere it just has that Miami vibe I love.

I love that this isn't trying to be an "all of Europe in one week" itinerary. Iceland gets to be the main character.

If you’re looking for me on Celebrity Solstice, you probably won’t have to look too hard.

I’ll most likely be starting the day with a coffee from Café al Bacio, disappearing into the library with my Kindle, enjoying the views from the Sky Lounge or ending the evening at the Martini Bar watching the bartenders put on one of the best shows at sea.

I love a cruise with plenty to do, but I also love finding those spots that make the ship feel like my own little home for the week.

Apparently I should be preparing for Halloween Horror Nights by watching horror movies…I did try for literally five minutes - it didn’t go well 😱🙀

I’m just toooooo scared for that.

So naturally, I’m preparing the only way that makes sense to me: horror crafting.

HHN bracelets? Check.
House + scare zone checklists? Check.
Lanyard ready? Check.

Watching scary movies? Absolutely not.

Scaredy Cat Lisa is preparing for HHN 35 in her own way.
