You’ll want to save this guide if you’re planning to visit Biidaasige Park sometime in the near future!

Toronto’s newest park is worth the visit. But because of developing infrastructure and so much more to go for the future of The Portlands, there are a few quirks and tips about visiting worth noting in this post.

This park is so incredible. Functional, useable spaces that have been intentionally designed for everyone are in both the east and newest west ends of the park.

🦉Playgrounds in the East for kids
🚴🏼 Plenty of dedicated biking paths and places to lock up
🛶 Boat launch areas in the Lower Don to paddle around the river or go out into Lake Ontario
🔥 BBQ pits and plenty of picnic areas
👣 Walking paths throughout the park away from traffic
🌱 Indigenous plants to the area for regeneration of the Lower Don River and the habitats the animals here need to survive
🌆 Incredible skyline sunset views overlooking downtown and the Toronto Islands

I couldn’t be more excited the park is here! Save this for your next visit.

Planning a first-time visit to The Yukon can be a little overwhelming. There’s a lot of land, a lot of history, and many places to visit. But most people only have around one week to visit, so here’s the itinerary I’d recommend for first-time visitors:

Whitehorse & Area: 1-2 days
Road trips from Whitehorse: 2-3 days, including Kluane and Carcross
Dawson City: 2-3 days

Of course you can extend this trip beyond a week easily! But if you’re looking for a true taste of what makes this territory special, this is a great starting point.

Chris and I loved slow mornings here surrounded by quiet and nature, and the permission to relax, take it easy, and do as much or as little as we’d like.
