Mypawpad.com MyPawPad.com was created to fill the need for a comprehensive pet website. It's where pet people and businesses connect, share, and find everything pet.

MyPawPad.com was created to fill a need for a comprehensive pet website. We are a couple of professional web guys that have and love pets. The idea for MyPawPad.com spawned after we spent countless hours searching for a quality kennel for our dogs to stay while we went away on business. Once we came up with the initial website idea we kept brainstorming about more ideas and functionality that we c

ould add to the website to create a valuable resource and web experience for pet lovers. Through these brainstorming sessions we came up with our profile, company listings, pet blog articles and pet company search functionality ideas. Create your profile and add your pets. Interact with other pet owners and share information and tips about pets. Do you own a pet business? Create your pet business profile at MyPawPad.com so pet owners can find your pet services. We hope you enjoy your experience with MyPawPad.com and if you have any feedback or suggestions on how we can improve this site please contact us.

UPDATE: Elijah has a foster home!

Attention Southern people. This is Elijah. Elijah is one of the dogs that is nearest and dearest to me and has a special place in the charred remnants of what was once my heart. I need this dog to go to a foster home as he has been sitting in a kennel now for over 2 months and I can't stand it. When he came in to rescue, he was unable to walk and he was covered in sarcoptic mange and bald. See his intake picture in the first comment for clarification on how bad he was. He has made an amazing recovery. Now he needs to go to foster to keep getting better and that requires a family to care for him and make him a happy boy.

Elijah is a pocket pyr and he weighs in at under 65 pounds. He is gerbil sized. He is sweet to all and friendly to all and he has no natural enemies, not even Mr. Squirrel. Elijah is great with kids, cats and dogs. Depending on who you ask, he is either three or eight years old, so I am going to organize a celebrity death match events where the vets duke it out so we can establish conclusively how old Elijah is.

He needs to stay in the Middle TN area so he can finish his vet work, but he has no limitations otherwise. Unless you run the Sanctuary for Rabid Skunks or you have a piranha-filled moat around your house. I would probably say no to those homes. I am so committed to getting this guy in a home I would even be willing to sell my soul, but the catch is I already sold it for $20 and a carton of smokes 20 years in law school, so you'd have to be willing to hold a second mortgage on my soul.

Someone out there is dying to have this perfect dog. If you are interested in fostering Elijah, fill out an application if you haven't done so at www.bigfluffydogs.com (click on fostering FAQs to foster) and then email [email protected]. Make my day kids. Spread the word.

And now your late night post...

Fans, tragedy nearly struck earlier today when Sophie the beagle mix swallowed a ton of helium and began to float off the ground. Fortunately, we were able to catch her before she floated away in a cloud of pure puppy happiness. We are happy to report she is now back to suffering the effects of gravity*.

Sophie is a 2-year-old beagle mix who came in with her sister Roxanne and brother Jake. They were sad and scared on arrival, (see first comment below for her day of arrival pic) but they are all now bouncing and happy. I wish all dogs had their joy.

Sophie gets along with everyone and everything. I believe she could make friends with a rabid wolverine. She is sweet and friendly and the world is her oyster. She is good with kids, cats and dogs. She is nearly perfect save for being slightly pudgy. She does love her toys and her romping sessions and she needs a home that will appreciate her insatiable need for tummy rubs.

Sophie is looking for a foster or forever home in the TN to CT area and places in between and nearby. If you are interested in adopting or fostering Sophie, fill out an application if you haven't done so at www.bigfluffydogs.com (click on Online Application to adopt or fostering FAQs to foster) and then email [email protected] to foster or [email protected] to adopt.

*Please do not make me explain this in a Science! episode because I will be really sad people don't get jokes anymore and lack the science background to get it.
