Meet the team planting millions of trees in Kenya. 🌳💜

Growing up near Mount Kenya Forest, Paulino Mugendi watched the trees around him vanish. Instead of standing by, he decided to bring them back.

In 2012, Paulino co-founded Trees for Kenya to restore degraded land and support local farmers. Today, through our Trees for Days initiative and non-profit partner Planeterra Foundation, that impact is scaling even further.

Together, we’re:
🌱 Helping farmers shift to climate-resilient agroforestry
🌱 Diversifying crop income with native and fruit trees
🌱 Training women and youth to lead in conservation and agrotourism

Our hearts are with the people of Nepal following the devastating floods in the Nepal-Tibet border region, which have claimed hundreds of lives and left many more missing.

We’re thinking of everyone who has lost a loved one, those still waiting for news, and the communities facing unimaginable loss and devastation.

We want to reassure our community that all G Adventures travellers and guides currently in Nepal and Tibet are safe and accounted for. Our teams on the ground are working closely together to ensure the safety of our travellers and guides, while we continue to monitor the situation closely.

At this time, no G Adventures trips have been cancelled, and we do not currently anticipate an impact to future departures. We are staying in close contact with our local teams and monitoring government guidance to determine whether any changes or diversions may be needed.

Nepal is home to so many people and communities we’re proud to know, work with and travel alongside. We’re keeping them in our thoughts and will continue to share updates as the situation develops. 💜

Wildlife has a right to a wild life. 🦍

When travelling, seeing animals in person can be incredible, but making sure we do it responsibly is everything. That’s why we worked alongside experts at Jane Goodall Institute of Canada, World Animal Protection Canada, and World Cetacean Alliance to create a policy that keeps wildlife safe.

What you should NOT do while travelling:
🚫 Touch or hold wild animals.
🚫 Feed wildlife and disrupt their natural habits.
🚫 Pay for wildlife selfies or street shows.
🚫 Attend animal performances or tricks.
🚫 Buy animal-part souvenirs, civet coffee, or snake wine.

Instead, let’s observe from a respectful distance and see animals thriving where they belong: in the wild. 🌍💜

A great photograph has the power to transport you right back to a place, a moment, a feeling.

For photographer Stine Danielle McLaughlin, travel photography is about more than capturing the big moments. It’s about the unexpected ones too: smelling wild mint above Machu Picchu, tasting sour passionfruit in the Sacred Valley, watching pachamanca come together and sharing the Inca Trail with a family of llamas.

Stine experienced all of these moments while travelling through Peru with G Adventures, capturing the people, places and little details that made the journey unforgettable.

For , Stine shares the stories behind the photos and what it’s like to see Peru through her lens. 💜
