Built and occupied by the Chachapoyas, the “Warriors of the Clouds,” between 500-1570; Kuelap is the archaeological jewel of northern Peru. This fortified ancient citadel is perched atop a hill with sweeping 360 degree views of its surroundings. Unlike Machu Picchu, we had the massive site all to ourselves. Pure magic ✨
