Our Story
Zip-Rush., headquartered in Quebec, Canada, applies design, engineering, and construction expertise to creating zipline products for entertainment adventure venues around the world.
Founded by entrepreneur Stephan Bernier in 2002, Zip-Rush has grown to become a worldwide presence in its niche market, and has had installations in Mexico, Peru, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Nepal, Ukraine, Netherlands, and other developing countries, as well as in the United States.
Zip-Rush has built on these experiences to become resourceful, creative, and adept in working within regions with more limited infrastructure than that normally found in the developed world.
We have designed, and build the world’s longest zipline, situated in the ancient Peruvian city of Cusco. This awesome zipline spans an unbroken 2,180 meters and, using the braking force of gravity alone, enables adventure travelers to reach speeds of up to 135 kilometers per hour.
Zip-Rush always focuses on safety throughout every phase of design and ex*****on of a project. We strictly adheres to the standards maintained by the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) and the Professional Ropes Course Association (PRCA). In addition, Zip-Rush has gone further by setting up its own testing of products and procedures, seeking out the highest quality of suppliers available, and originating new safety techniques.
We know that, whether a zipline uses a stopping mechanism built into its trolley or at its landing point, braking is the most important safety factor to consider. The company’s newly constructed Progressive Counterweight Brake is able to ensure a safe stop for the rider, even at high speeds. We also continually strives to upgrade the efficiency of its operations with groundbreaking zipline technologies such as magnetic brakes, eddy current trolley, and wide-ranging training protocols.
Zip-Rush is a Trademark of Ascensacion Int'l Inc founded in 2002.
